What design means to me...
Design is translation. It turns complexity into clarity, structure into rhythm, and information into experience. My background in environmental science rooted me in systems thinking, and I bring that same lens to design: balancing structure with spontaneity, clarity with curiosity. To me, design isn’t decoration—it’s connective tissue. It shapes how people encounter space, absorb meaning, and feel part of a story. I believe thoughtful design holds space, amplifies voices, and creates conditions where art, ideas, and people can truly connect.

2. Uniformed AbsurdityUniformed Absurdity was born on an August weekend. Trey and I had our hearts set on creating something meaningful. Something we would look back on and say-- woah we really went there with that. We took it there that’s all I’ll say.

Uniformed Absurdity is a collaborative magazine that blurs the line between performance and publication. Born from a character photoshoot, it treats identity as costume and storytelling as spectacle—celebrating the strange, the theatrical, and the unapologetically out

3. NoenNoén is an intimacy oil company rooted in care, connection, and sensuality. I hopped on board as a Marketing Intern during my senior fall semester, supporting brand development, marketing, and visual design. From layouts and print editions to digital assets, I helped build a visual language that was both consistent and evolving—refined yet inviting, much like the brand itself.

I’m a designer with experience building identities, publications, and campaigns for art platforms, museums, and creative brands. I’ve worked on everything from custom typefaces to exhibition graphics, always treating design as a tool for storytelling and connection. Moving forward, I want to collaborate with creative spaces that value experimentation and inclusivity—while leaving room to grow beyond any single box. I thrive in interdisciplinary environments, and I bring curiosity, rigor, and a bit of boldness to everything I do.

1. Background
Victoria Lopez
Santa Cruz, 2003

Born and raised in California, Victoria Lopez is a designer whose practice blends storytelling, visual identity, and environmental awareness. She studied Environmental Studies at UC Berkeley, where her focus on global politics and ecology informed her approach to communication design. She later earned a Certificate in Design Innovation from UC Berkeley’s Collegeof Design, which expanded her perspective on how design can shape culture.

Her experience spans collaborative projects like Miami Art Hang, where she helped develop a visual identity for emerging artists, as well as freelance and personal work exploring the role of design in cultural and ecological narratives. With roots in California and an eye toward global conversations, Victoria approaches design as a tool for connection, curiosity, and change.
